While he is not old enough to drive on the streets, 15-year old Jason Reichert is already making a name for himself in open wheel racing. The Las Vegas native is one of the youngest driver in the nation. He currently is racing in the Formula Ford Series, and is third in the points.
Jason is not only doing well on the track, but he is doing well off the track. Reichert has been named the "Ambassador for the Families Against Drunk Drivers". Jason and his race team, Huddy MotorSports, recently hosted a family, who lost their 11-year old son in an accident with a drink driver, to a race at Auto Club Speedway. “Meeting with families like the Ferrers really move me. Their son, Noah, would be my age now, and losing him in a drunk driving accident is senseless.”
When asked about Jason, Huddy MotorSports team owner Shawn Hudspeth states, “We have big plans for Jason. The team just bought a Formula F2000 car for him to race in the future, and our goals are to continue to move up, and race at the Indy 500 together!”
