Kyle Button 16, and a driver at Button Motorsports and Simpson Enterprises was named 2nd Top Fundraising Driver for New York State on March 5th, 2016 in Charlotte, NC. Kyle raised over $200.00 for his cancer charity Racing 2 Cure in 2015 and is planning on raisng $5,000.00 in the next two years. Racing 2 Cure is a 501c3 NotForProfit organization that has drivers across the US and Canada raise donations that are used for helping families that are suffering with cancer. Kyle Button has been racing for 3 years and this will be his third year as a member of Racing 2 Cure.
In 2016 Kyle will be behind the wheel of the #18k Tobias Slingshot, racing in both New York and Pennsylvania. In 2013 Kyle raced a wood-framed Microd at Little Wheels Speedway the same track that NASCAR driver Reagan Smith raced at, there he won the 2013 Track Championship Race, and took 3rd in points. Then for 2014 and 2015 he raced a metal-framed Microd at Tri-County Microd Club. Kyle says" I am very excited to have been awarded 2nd Top Fundraising Driver for New York State! This recognition is very cool, and I am proud to have that title. It just goes to show how much I put forth to help people and help make them better!" Along with Kyle being a member of Racing 2 Cure, Kyle is also a member of Racing For A Cause which has drivers raise awareness of Eosinophilic Associated Diseases.
Founder Ricky Springer, lives with this disease and has created this wonderful organization to help educated people of this disease. Eosiniphil's are white blood cells, so when there are to many they attack many parts of the body, causing inflammation and damage to the tissue. Many patients that have Eosinophilic Diseases are not diagnosed because it is not a well known disease.
